Pot Bearings are specialized structural bearings designed for multi-span highway bridges, flyovers, and heavy railway bridges requiring large vertical load capacity (up to 50,000 kN) and controlled rotational or sliding displacement.

Mechanics & Design:
A circular elastomeric pad is confined inside a rigid cast steel cylinder pot. Under high pressure, the elastomer behaves as an incompressible fluid, allowing free multidirectional tilt and rotation of the bridge girder without structural stress concentrations.
